Takeology

Kanda, Tokyo is the town of secondhand book and also the town of press.
Today, here in Kanda, I have a appointment with the illustrator Chiemi Kunibu who worked for Le pivot’s first work three years ago.
The illustration of forest in the video for Wella impressed the Germans enormously.
The person herself is even more pure than the illustration.
We had a lunch at “Savo-ru”.
I believe this is the mintage of French word ‘Savoir’ (knowing) and Japanese word Savo-ru(play truant).

東京神田、古書の町、そして、出版の町。　今日はココで、３年前のピヴォ初期作品でイラストレーションを描いてくださった、国分チエミさんと初対面の待ち合わせ。　Wellaのビデオで、ドイツ人を唸らせたあの森のイラストレーション。　う～ん、ご本人もそれに増してピュアなお方。

ちなみに昼食は、神田は「さぼ～る」でいただく。
仏語　Savoirサボワール(知る)　と　邦語　さぼる　の造語だと思ってる。

A middle sized Japanese company is so popular in the market of household appliance in India.
They fight against an American household appliance company there.
Their strategy is to research and analyze by walking around the town.
They try to be as close as possible with the Indian life style for designing the new product.
They designed a washing machine which has the delicate mode function for washing Sari, or the oven which has the special function for cooking Tandoori chicken.
The image above is the microwave oven that I found in Japan.
There are special function for warming up Onigiri(rice ball), rice, sake and lunch box.
Those four index indicates the modern Japanese life style?

インドの家電マーケットで、日本の中堅企業が人気を博している。　欧米の家電メーカーが参入する激戦区。　その企業の作戦は”歩くマーケティング”。　徹底して、インド人の生活に密着して、新製品をデザイニング。
インドの伝統衣装”サリー”の洗濯用の微弱モード搭載の洗濯機。　一般家庭でよく食される”タンドリーチキン”の調理専用モード搭載のオーブン。
↑は東京で見かけた電子レンジ。　おにぎり、ごはん、酒かん、お弁当。　この４つの指標が現代日本の食文化指数かも？

このRIMOWAのトランクはドイツではなく、東京は神田で購入。　現行のモノではなく、20年くらい前のオールド。　角も角ばってるし、　ディテールも金属使いで、良い。　ここのオヤジのクラフトマン・シップはスゴイ。「どんなに凹んでも、元通りにしてやる！」と言う。　その言葉に惚れて買った一品。　トランクの中は、、、ホラ、行商ですねこれは、、、

One of our film was chosen as certain organization for compilation DVD. It is distributed at the Center Pompidou, the Fondation Cartier and the Palais de Tokyo etc.
I’m very happy !!! But the Document about COPYRIGHTS are very very Difficult and Complexity… It’s start of the loooong negotiation.

ピヴォの作品が、とある機関からセレクションされ、コンピレーションDVD化される運びとなりました。　ポンピドゥーセンター、カルチエ財団、パレ・ド・トウキョウ　などにも置かれるらしく、私としては、宙返りしてウルトラＣと決めたいくらい嬉しいのですが、、、　権利関係の書類がムツカシ過ぎ！　なんでこんなにフクザツなの～？？？　これから大変な交渉事がハジマル。。。

The Paris movie week started today.
between 27th June to 11th July we can see the movie only 4 Euros.
But it is very quiet tonight… So Because We are in front of Television and wathing at the game of soccer France vs Spain !!!!!! It is not possible to deflect.

今日から、パリ・シネマ・ウィークの始まり。　6/11～7/11まで、映画１本４ユーロ(580円)。
でも、今夜はやけに静か、、、そう、みんなはテレビの前。　フランスvsスペイン戦。　映画どころではないかも。

This past few days i’m very busy to prepare for a trip to Japan. And she(my cat whose name ‘Beer’) also need preparation for staying at my friend’s room. She cuts her fingernails, and takes shower and makes the new toilet etc… Are you ready Beer ? I stay Tokyo in 29th June to 6 July. Please feel free to call me. I am looking forward to meeting you.
